“I first started training with Daine in 2012; initially I went to him after having a few years off from training after having three children. At first the initial goal was to lose body fat and build lean muscle, which under Daine’s guidance happened very rapidly.

As time progressed our training goal switched from pure body composition to competing in raw powerlifting, a sport, which I have grown to love. During my time with Daine I have broken 5 Australian records in the 52 and 56kg class events initially with CAPO, after rupturing two of my lumbar spinal discs in 2014 during a holiday away he rehabbed me back to maximal strength over the next year to the point where I was able to hit a training PB deadlift of 170kg with no belt and 160kg for 3 reps.

This was a massive accomplishment for me because at the time I was told I would never be able to deadlift heavy again and compete at a national level. Off the back end of this rehab I also switched federations to Powerlifting Australia/IPF, which ultimately lead to me qualifying for the 2015 IPF world championships where I was the top Australian athlete in the 57kg class at the event with a comp PB deadlift of 160kg. I look forward to continuing training with Daine in the coming year and competing in the 2017 IPF world championships once again!”
